Imagine a picturesque morning in Switzerland with fresh alpine weather as a finely tuned engine runs smoothly and a road descends over unbelievable vistas. This day will be spent driving what has been frequently described as one of the most breathtaking roads anywhere in the world. We will be driving from the beauty of the lakes surrounding Interlaken to the small mountain village nestled within mountains called Grindelwald.
This is not just a car ride but a form of meditation in motion. You will use the flagship model of the current generation 2025 AMG SL63 Mercedes-Benz while experiencing it in the highest possible video quality through an ASMR format. You will have the opportunity to feel the suspension and contour of every mountain curve while enjoying all the brilliance of nature combined with the exceptional craftsmanship and engineering found in automobiles without distraction.
Route Summary
The drive takes you through the breathtaking Lütschinen Valley, with new postcard quality views occurring at every turn.
Interlaken – Our starting point, located between the beautiful blue waters of Lake Thun on the left and Lake Brienz on the right. A8 Highway and B190 Route – Beautifully maintained roads, climbing steadily through traditional Swiss chalets, past tightly maintained flower meadows. Grindelwald – The drive finishes here at the base of the incredible Eiger North Face.
Things to Know for the Road
Timing: We recommend leaving early in the morning and arriving in the late afternoon/golden hour. It will give you the best light for photographs and the least amount of traffic.
Styling with Comfort: Driving an SL63 convertible will create a unique experience of freedom on the road. Even during the summer months, it can still be cold when you are high in the mountains; therefore, pack a lightweight jacket and of course, a pair of sunglasses.
The Lauterbrunnen Detour: The direct route to Grindelwald is beautiful and is worth the drive, but if you choose to take a 5 minute detour to the Lauterbrunnen area (the Valley of 72 Waterfalls), you will add quite a bit of magic to an already magical trip. Lean back, switch the video to full screen, and let the Swiss Alps provide a much-needed moment of relaxation.

Editor’s Note: The road to Grindelwald is the gateway to the Jungfrau region, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to some of Europe’s most historic mountain railways.
