Spanish coastal cities adjust tourist taxes ahead of summer
Barcelona and other Spanish coastal destinations are updating tourist taxes and rules for 2025.
Several Spanish coastal cities, including Barcelona, Valencia and parts of the Balearic Islands, have confirmed updates to their tourist taxes for the 2025 season.
Overnight guests will see small increases on per‑night charges, with higher rates for luxury properties and cruise passengers.
Local councils say the money will support beach cleaning, public transport and measures to manage crowds in historic districts popular with visitors.
