Mexico steps up tourism upgrades ahead of 2026 World Cup
Cities in Mexico that will host World Cup matches are investing in transport and visitor information.
Several Mexican host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup have announced new investments in public transport, signage and visitor information centres.
Local authorities hope the upgrades will make it easier for international fans to move between stadiums, historic centres and beach areas during the tournament.
Many of the projects, including improved airport connections and multilingual wayfinding, are scheduled to be completed during 2025.
